NSW Amateur Owner Rider Liaison

The Dressage NSW Committee in conjunction with the NSW Riders Representative offers an invitation for applications for the position of Amateur Owner Rider Liaison for 2023/24. Acknowledging the importance of supporting and growing a strong Amateur Owner Rider community this position will be specifically centric around the needs of this particular group of riders.

The AOR Liaison will work closely with the DNSW Rider Representative to find opportunities for growth and development, education and community building for Amateur riders of NSW. A role description and desired personal attributes is outlined in the role description document.

Nominations for an AOR Liaison are now open and the appointment will be made at the  AOR Australian Championships held in Tamworth in December 2023. The appointment is subject to endorsement of the Committee of DNSW who will ratify the candidate at the next available committee meeting after the AOR Championships. From 2024 the position will be filled at the NSW Dressage Championships, during the NSW Riders forum.

An in-person meeting will be held at AELEC on Thursday 30th November, following presentations, to vote for the incoming candidate. The position will be required to be nominated and seconded. Meeting information will be updated including proxy nominated candidates and will be communicated via the Riders Representative Facebook page.

Nominees do not have to be present to be elected as the Amateur Owner Rider Liaison.

The person elected as AOR Liaison must be a member of EA and DNSW.
