ENSW is committed to the continuing improvement and development of equestrian sport in NSW and has allocated funding to DNSW for Special Project Funding (SPF) as one means of meeting this objective.

SPF supports projects undertaken by ENSW Affiliates which progress and strengthen our sport and deliver a lasting benefit for the individual club and for dressage in general.

Applications for SPF are now open and the closing date is 31 January 2019.

The projects must be delivered and the funding expended by June 2019.

Castilla Ruiz makes it a one-two for the host nation as Portugal’s Caetano takes third

Spanish dressage legend, Beatriz Ferrer-Salat (52), posted a definitive victory with Delgado when the FEI Dressage World Cup™ visited Madrid, Spain for the very first time today. And host nation riders dominated at this fourth round of the 10-leg 2018/2019 Western European League series when Claudio Castilla Ruiz (35) finished second with Alcaide ahead of Portugal’s Maria Caetano (32) and Coroado in third.

The annual awards and end of year Christmas Pirouettes Party was held on Saturday, 10 November at the Hawkesbury Raceclub.

Sweden’s Kittel and Ramel claim second and third

Defending series champion and equestrian sports legend, Germany’s Isabell Werth (49), kicked off her FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2018/2019 campaign today with a convincing win with Emilio at the second leg of the Western European League series at Equita Longines in Lyon, France.

The Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI), the global governing body for horse sport, has ventured into the new evolution of esports launching its first official digital fan series in partnership with SAP, the world’s largest enterprise application software company. The FEI eLeague Dressage debuts at this weekend’s opening qualifier of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ series 2018/2019 in Herning (DEN), giving fans the opportunity to engage with the sport on a higher level.

DNSW would like to congratulate Australian Olympian, Lyndal Oatley and Patrik Kittel (Swedish Olympian) on the recent birth of their baby daughter Emilia Oatley-Kittel.

Mother and daughter are doing well surrounded by family including Lyndal's parents Carol and Sandy.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the 2019 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List). This List comes into force on 1 January 2019 and is published three months ahead of coming into effect so that athletes and their entourage have the possibility to familiarise themselves with any modifications.

HPower Group, organiser of Olympia, The London International Horse Show, host to the UK leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™, has worked in consultation with the FEI and international dressage riders to revitalise the FEI Dressage World Cup™ competition by making it more interesting to a wider audience. The two evenings of the newly designed competition will be seen at Olympia on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th December 2018.
