AEIE Futurity Offers World’s Richest Prize for Young Dressage Horses

If the EBM Dressage by the Sea at Willinga Park is anything to go by, the 6-year-old division at the 2026 Sydney CDI promises to be a highlight of the event.

All combinations that started in either the first or second round of the 6-year-old classes at Dressage by the Sea have now qualified for the Sydney CDI – AEIE Young Horse Championships.

In the first-round 6-year-old qualifier, seven horses scored over 70%, with the leading combinations:

Kallista Field is regarded as one of New Zealand’s leading dressage riders and trainers. She has competed at two World Equestrian Games, and one Olympic Games – each time on different home-grown horses. Kallista also studied under the great Herbert Rehbein at Grönwohldhof, Germany. There she had the privilege of riding famous stallions, Don Primero, and Donnerhall.

2026 Sydney CDI – Programme Update

Dressage NSW & the Sydney CDI Organising Committee advise that the full range of competitions traditionally offered at the Sydney CDI will not be possible in 2026.

DNSW is calling for nominations to fill 5 casual vacancies.  

These positions expire at the AGM in 2026 and the persons filling the casual vacancies can then stand for election for the next three-year term.  Applications for these vacancies should reach the Admin Secretary by 13th Decenber 2025 at 5pm on [email protected].

Applications will be considered by the committee at the 16th December committee meeting.
