Dalera storms to victory for von Bredow-Werndl in Salzburg

FEI Dressage World Cup™  2020/2021 Western European League qualifier in Salzburg, Austria 

Defending champions Werth and Weihegold have to settle for second as Germans scoop top four placings

It has been a long wait since the first leg was staged last October, but the resumption of the 2020/2021 FEI Dressage World Cup™ Western European League didn’t disappoint when Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and TSF Dalera BB swept to victory in Salzburg, Austria today.

Qualification Information for Competitors

Qualification Information for Competitors

The 2021 SYDNEY CDLITE conditions of entry and schedule will be published in early February 2021. 

The event will include all the usual FEI levels as well as EA Advanced competitions and the Kohnke's Own NSW Young Horse Championships.  All competitions will be conducted as national competitions.  

Qualifications for the event will be required and we are publishing this information ahead of the schedule to assist riders/owners who are considering entering the event.

Mandy Jones is the new President of DNSW

Mandy Jones is the new President of DNSW

Dressage NSW is pleased to announce the election of Mandy Jones to the position of President.

Mandy has been a DNSW committee member for the past 12 months and has been the Young Rider (YR) Program Coordinator for the past 4 years. Mandy developed this successful program from its inception in 2016. She is currently the Event Organiser for the Youth Dressage State Championships and coordinated the previous Youth Dressage National Championships held in NSW.

We regret to announce that Petra Keranen has resigned as President, Hon Treasurer and committee member of Dressage NSW to be effective imediately.  Petra joined us 5 years ago as our Treasurer and has been our highly respected President since July 2019.

New Category added to the DNSW Annual Awards and Performance Medals

New Category added to the DNSW Annual Awards and Performance Medals

 DNSW Annual Awards and Performance Medals will now include preliminary level horse/rider combinations.

The qualifying period for the 2021 preliminary annual awards will be from 1st September 2020 up to and including the 2021 State Dressage Championships.

Performance Medal Criteria – 3 performances achieving scores equal to and above:

Bronze Medal    67%

Silver Medal       70%

Gold Medal         74%

Riders must be financial members of DNSW, all official competitions in NSW elibble.

2020 Annual Awards and Performance Medals Cancelled

2020 Annual Awards and Performance Medals Cancelled

Due to the devastating effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on equestrian sport in NSW the DNSW committee has made the decision to cancel the prestigious DNSW Annual Awards and Performance Medals in 2020.

The 2021 Annual Awards and Performance Medals will be determined on performances achieved during the period from the end of the 2019 NSW Dressage Championships up to and including the 2021 NSW Dressage Championships.

The 2020 Pirouettes Party has also been cancelled due to the restrictions on social gatherings, and due to restrictions in place at the Hawkesbury Racecourse.

NSW Riders Representative

NSW Riders Representative

DNSW extends a warm welcome to Alycia Targa who is the new NSW Riders Representative, taking over from Lizzie Wilson-Fellows.

Alycia is a professional dressage and was the FEI Riders Representative at both Sydney and Willinga Park CDIs.   

In addition Alycia is the President of the Shoalhaven Dressage Club, a position she has held for the past 5 years and she has been on the committee for 8 years.
