OTTO SPORT AUSTRALIA Sydney CDI starts this week

Australia's most prestigious international dressage event, the OTTO SPORT AUSTRALIA Sydney CDI3*, is due to begin at Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) this week. 

The event attracts the cream of the nation's dressage riders and horses - as well as formidable competition from across the ditch – every year to the western Sydney venue, and will take place this year from May 1 to 4.

Top shopping announced at Australia's most prestigious dressage event

Australia's most prestigious international dressage event, the OTTO SPORT AUSTRALIA 2019 Sydney CDI3*, will once again host an extensive shopping village to cater for every equine taste.

The shopping village at this year's OTTO SPORT AUSTRALIA Sydney CDI will open for business from Thursday, May 2 to Saturday, May 4 inclusive next to the indoor arena and surrounding areas at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC).

Highest entries ever in FEI sanctioned competitions

The OTTO SPORT AUSTRALIA SYDNEY CDI has received the highest number of entries to date with 85 horses entered across the CDI 3*, CDI U25, CDI-Y, CDI-J, CDI-P competitions.  This is a first for a dressage event of its type held in the Australasian region and demonstrates the growth and popularity of dressage.

It’s the show where performances = personal bests = record scores = memories are created.

One of those winning riders has her own special place in 2019 - Olympian Ricky MacMillan and her horse Crisp still hold the Sydney CDI GP Freestyle records, from 2004 (75.27%) and 2005 (74.70%).

They came from all around the globe to take on the most successful equestrian athlete of all time and gave it everything they had, but she didn’t buckle under the pressure. That’s not her style.
