Performance Exemption Young Horse Qualifiers
The Organising Committee acknowledges the challenges riders, owners and clubs have faced in recent months in attempting to qualify for the Young Horse Championships. Ongoing weather conditions, combined with the cost and logistics of travel, have significantly impacted opportunities to compete.
In recognition of these circumstances, the Organising Committee, in conjunction with Dressage NSW, has approved a performance exemption process for this event. Riders may submit an application, supported by official competition results at the equivalent level, as outlined below.
- 4 yr old – Prel/Nov
- 5 yr old – Nov/Elem
- 6 yr old – Med
- 7 yr old Adv
Qualification will be accepted up to the 30 March 2026. Riders must enter by the 26 March 2026 and complete the performance form if they already have qualified
Riders/Owners with horses entered in YH qualifiers by 30 March are encouraged to continue with their plans to compete as planned.
In the event of oversubscription, young horse results will be considered ahead of official results. Riders/owners seeking an exemption will be assessed and if approved, horses will be ranked by performance by official results and placed initially on a reserve list. Horse’s will be placed in the competition if time allows or when withdrawals occur.
Exemptions will also be considered for other national competitions such as the Advanced Open & AOR, CDN Prix st Georges etc.
Competitors are to enter the event by the due date and submit results up to the end of March to: [email protected]
