Attention Judges: Error on points in package mail out to Judges

Please note advice on points - it is 12 and not the figure quoted in the package from the National Office

To All Judges

Further to the email communication you have all received from the  National Education Manager I thought it might be useful to just spell out exactly what this one year extension means in relation to seminars, workshops and judging. The reaccreditation period is now 1/4/12 to 31/3/15.

Seminars & Workshops – All Levels

As you are all very well aware to maintain our accreditation every 2 years we have to do the following – refer to rule 9.15.1 & 9.25:

·         Attend and participate in an Education Seminar at your current judging level every two years

·         Attend a workshop in the alternate year

Judging Requirements 

·         A/B/C/D/E/F - Judge at 4 events at your highest level i.e. 2 a year

·         A/B/C/D/E/F - Judge 2 other events at any level up to your highest level

·         H – Judge at 4 Participation/Restricted Club events at Preliminary/Novice level

Activity Points - All Levels - Earn at least 12 activity points over the 2 year period.

As the reaccreditation period has been extended by 12 months it will be necessary, in addition to the above, to undertake the following:

Important - Please note that you are not being asked to do anything extra. The additional judging etc is all what you would do normally in a year. The process if just being extended by a year (one off to change the cycle) so therefore it is necessary to do some pro rata judging.

Seminars & Workshops – All Levels

·         Seminar process every 2 years has to continue so if you did a seminar in 2011 or 2012  you should have done another one in 2013 or 2014 (this year) and so it goes on

·         Workshop process on the alternate year has to continue as well

Judging Requirements

·         A/B/C/D/E/F - Judging – you need to judge at two more additional events at your highest level – total judging to be at 6 events over the 3 years by 1/1/15

·         A/B/C/D/E/F - Judging – you need to judge at one other event at any level – total judging to be at 3 events over the 3 years by 1/1/15

·         H – you need to judge at two more additional events – total judging to be at 6 events over the 3 year period by 1/1/15

Activity Points – All Levels - It has been agreed that the total activity points will remain at 12.
