NEW RULE - gear check is now done AFTER you have finished each test. Do not dismount or change gear until you have had your gear check. 

The steward will be available to help with any queries regarding your gear prior to your test.

You must gear check AFTER each test you ride.

Thank you all for entering and supporting our Clarendon Dressage Event. The provisional draw is attached for you.

Riders who are highlighted have been contacted regarding their EA dressage license. If you have any questions, do let me know. 

• The gates will open at 7.00am.  Please note that you are not permitted to be mounted on your horse if the First Aid medic is not on the grounds. 

Training Day - Arena 3 from 8.00 to 2.30pm/ Arena 2 from 10.45 to 2.30pm. Entries are open on Nominate.

• You will be gear checked AFTER you have finished your test. You must be gear checked after each test.

• Please be aware that horses must have identification numbers on their bridles and halters at all times whether they are ridden, in hand or in the stable complex.  Stallions must have ID plates for stables used. 

• Unsafe, fold-up, mounting blocks are not permitted to be used at this event.

• Please be aware of the Dress, Saddlery and Equipment EA Rules.  Helmets worn must have the visible yellow helmet tag – this is a requirement of EA Rules and our Event Insurance.

• Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the grounds – this is a condition of entry to the showground from HDAA.  

  • Entry to our grounds is via Gate 4 next to the entry gates of Hawkesbury Riding Club.

• If you are unable to stay for Presentations, we would be happy to send out placegetter ribbons (1st to 6th in all categories) if you supply a large, stamped, self –addressed envelope.

• The Riders Lounge next to the Office is available to all riders throughout the event to come and have a coffee and a chat while watching the arenas – we hope you enjoy this area to relax in.

Safety

Please: 

  1. Observe the speed limit whilst on site at all times
  2. Give way to horses whilst driving
  3. Do not drive along the road in front of the arenas and past gear check
  4. Do not bring your dogs – HDAA have advised that dogs are not permitted on site unless they are competing in a dog competition
  5. If you have a fall from your horse whilst on the grounds please report to the paramedic who will assist you and assess your ability to compete

The competition

  1. If the event needs to be cancelled we will post on the DNSW Clarendon page AND email the address in your entry.
  2. Please email [email protected] if you need to scratch. If you are already at event please drop into the event office
  3. Refunds will be made after the event and, as per the conditions of entry, will only be made with an accompanying vet or doctors certificate. Refunds are 50% of the entry fees.
  4. If you wish to ride at a different time, please check in at the event office and we will be able to advise on any scratching slots
  5. Tests will be emailed to you after the conclusion of the class and sign-off by the judges
  6. Presentations will be made after the conclusion of the class, if you are unable to stay for presentation, ribbons can be collected from the event office. We will not be able to mail uncollected ribbons or prizes.
