Clarendon Young Rider Leaderboard

Clarendon - Young Rider Recognition

With the change to the age requirements for the national Adult Amateur Owner/Rider Scheme riders under 21 are no longer eligible to compete as part of the AOR Scheme.

To encourage, support and recognise riders under 21 years, Dressage NSW will introduce a Clarendon Young Rider Leaderboard similar to the Clarendon Adult Amateur Rider Scheme.

The Young Riders Leaderboard will consist of:

Junior riders 12-18 years of age or 10 years for pony riders.  (Junior Riders are eligible to compete from the start of the year they turn 12 (or 10 for pony) to the end of the year they turn 18)

Young Riders:  16 – 21 years of age.  (Young Riders are eligible to compete in Young Rider competitions from the start of the year in which they turn 16 years of age to the end of the year they turn 21)

EA rules apply, refer 1.12 for more information on eligibility

  • Both Junior and Young Riders will appear on the leader-board tagged with the relevant category - Jnr or YR.
  • Riders must be current members of Dressage NSW
  • Competitors are to advise Karen Lever and indicate on Nominate when they enter Clarendon events if they wish to compete as a junior or young rider.
  • Riders entered will appear on the draw and results tagged as either Jnr or YR.
  • A Clarendon Young Rider Leaderboard will be published from time to time.
  • At the end of the qualifying period, the highest ranked on the leaderboard will be named as the Clarendon Young Rider winner and recognised at our Annual Awards Night.
  • The qualifying period is the same as the Clarendon AOR Scheme (November 2014 to October 2015)
